Overview

Create a custom multi-point scoring tool using epoxy putty and small metal nails or pins. This project introduces students to basic toolmaking techniques while producing a functional tool for scoring and slipping, or for creating textured patterns on clay surfaces.

Materials

• Nitrile gloves
• Sharp knife or clay cutting tool
• Small stainless steel nails, pins, or wire pieces
• Super glue (optional, for reinforcement)
