Materials & Tools Needed

• Hardwood stock (around 1/4" thick): Oak, cherry, maple, black locust, or other dense hardwood
• Paper and pencil for hand-drawn templates
• Access to laser printer (university printer works great for this)
• Scroll saw, or hand coping saw
• Belt sander or sandpaper to hand sand: course, medium, fine
• Finish of your choosing (linseed oil, walnut oil, etc)
• Safety: respirator/dust mask, well-ventilated area
